Editorial Policy
Our standards for listing evaluation, factual claims, and error corrections.
Information Sources & Catalog Audits
Our editorial work is built entirely on public specification research. We analyze and cross-reference:
- Merchant parts lists and manifest diagrams published by kit retailers.
- Manufacturer fiber disclosures indicating natural wool versus polyester or synthetic blends.
- Documentation stating needle gauges (such as 36, 38, or 40 gauge) rather than generic needle counts.
- Declared language availability for instructional booklets, specifically English (EN) and French (FR) text versus diagram-only guides.
We do not claim hands-on workshop testing or lab validation. All product assessments reflect verified manifest data rather than physical endurance trials.
Corrections Standard
Kit manufacturers regularly adjust packaged components, change foam pad dimensions, or swap needle suppliers without changing product titles. When a discrepancy between our published audit and current merchant offerings is identified, we follow this routine:
- Verify the altered spec against current public merchant listings.
- Update the inventory table, gauge counts, or fiber definitions promptly.
- Note the revision date on the affected comparative guide.
